What you provide

When you create a poll, we store the question and options. When you vote, we store your vote choice.

Technical data

We use a small anonymous identifier (cookie/localStorage) and basic device signals to reduce duplicate votes and reports. Our servers also keep standard logs (like IP address, user agent, and timestamps) for reliability and security.

What we do not collect

No accounts, profiles, or personal dashboards. We don’t ask for your name, email, or password to use Settle It.

How we use data

We use the data to run polls, show results, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.

Sharing

Polls are visible to anyone with the link. We do not sell your data.

Retention

Polls stay available until the creator hides or deletes them, or until we remove them for policy reasons. Reports are retained for abuse prevention.
